TECH & DATA INNOVATOR
Randal’s love of technology and science began with his belief that these two disciplines could help to solve many of the social issues that the world faces. His academic achievements started at Rutgers, where he completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) and Electrical Engineering. He then went on complete four more academic degrees including a Master of Science in Computer Science (M.Sc.) at the University of Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar, a Master of Science (M.S.) in Electrical Engineering and Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in the MIT Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) Program, and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Media Arts and Sciences at the MIT Media Laboratory.
In addition to pursuing his academic degrees, Randal and his partners launched BCT Partners, intending to help organizations make progressive change through information technology and data science.
Randal recognized the early potential of using data science to optimize social programs, and BCT started its Precision Analytics practice in 2018. Combining machine learning with precision data analysis and social science expertise, they are helping to revolutionize how social programs are developed and augmented for optimal performance.
BCT’s first public-facing free insight tool, the COVID-19 Urgent Service Provider (CUSP), was designed to pinpoint nonprofit direct service providers who could best serve their communities during COVID-19. Learn more about CUSP here.
